TV Patrol’s Alvin Elchico apologizes to Angel Locsin for being harsh on interview

 

After many netizen and Angel locsin accused him of being disrespectful and harsh to the actress, Alvin rise to the top of Twitter's trending topics. The video in question is Angel's live interview on TV Patrol following the uproar surrounding her community pantry.

The interview began smoothly, with Alvin asking Angel about what had transpired and why confusion had exploded at her community pantry. Angel broke down and cried during the interview, apologizing for the mishap.

 

Alvin went on to ask Angel, “Kahit may nangyaring ganito, meron ka pa rin bang susunod na ioorganisang community pantry o nadala ka na?” and Angel answered, “Wala na po, hindi na po.”

 

The question “nadala ka na?” didn’t sit too well with netizens online. Many described it as harsh and insensitive.

A netizen posted on tweeted, “Grabe naman yung ‘nadala ka na’ parang kasalanan talaga ni angel, nagbigay lang siya, ang magulo ay yung mga Taong walang disiplina at hindi na social distancing!”

 

Alvin then apologized for his behavior on the DZMM Teleradyo show. He clarified that it was nothing personal and that this is how he raises questions in general.

 

He said that, “The crowd said, I was too harsh to ask. I explained earlier, because I don't have an ear piece. I rely on the sound system. ”

“For me, I will stand by my question. For me, partner, my question is valid, isn't it? Maybe in a manner maybe like a bargas, but that's also how I really speak like a commonplace like falling,” he added.

“Sorry po, ah. Sorry po Angel, kung nakikinig ka. I didn’t mean to offend or to hurt. Angel, if you’re offended, sorry ha kung na-offend ka. Sa mga fans po, sorry po kung na-offend kayo, but it was never my intention na i-offend po siya,” Alvin explained.
