DepEd plans to open next school year on August 23, exec says

The Department of Education (DepEd) is eyeing to  start the next school year on August 23, giving only the students a 6-week break from the usual 2 months, according to one of its officials on Tuesday (April 27).

So halos 6 na linggo 'yong break sa pagitan ng 2 school year," said Education Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio in an interview.

San Antonio said that as early as now, the department is also preparing some strategy that will allow students to go to school every once in a while instead of a complete remote learning.

May pinaghahandaan din kaming stratehiya para diyan," he said.

However, if distance learning shall continue, DepEd assured that they will become more "responsive" especially now that the errors in some learning resources were already corrected and the department has already experienced implementing such learning modality.
