The actor and TV host Willie Revillame has already made it clear to the public that he has no intentions of running in the 2022 elections but still President Rodrigo Duterte advised him to keep his options open for politics.
Last February 27, Revillame was invited by Sen. Bong Go together with Executive Sec. Salvador Medialdea in a dinner arranged by Jonathan So at Greenhills restaurant.
During the dinner which lasted for five hours, Pres. Duterte made a phone call and thanked Revillame for helping a lot of Filipinos adding that the TV host is one of them.
Sen. Go shared, the meeting was purposely set to personally send the message of the President which is to "keep his options open" to politics.
When Revillame was asked by the senator regarding his political plans, he explained that he has no intention of running for any position in the next election and that his show is just intended to make people happy and give assistance in any way possible.
With the said dinner meeting, a lot of speculations popped up from people. Many are actually asking what could be the possible position that Revillame would vie for while others suspect that he might be encouraged by the Duterte administration to lead their senatorial line up in the 2022 election.
