Basketball legend Robert Jaworski Sr. suffers from pneumonia; family asks for prayers

Former Senator and Philippine Basketball legend, Robert Jaworski is currently on his way to full recovery after being diagnosed with pneumonia last 2020.

According to the official statement of Jaworski's family released on Friday (March 19, 2021), he was admitted in the hospital because of pneumonia last year but he did not test positive for COVID-19.

In spite of how many months after his hospitalization, the living legend is still having difficulty regaining his strength and getting back to his normal well-being due to a blood abnormality that his doctors discovered in 2016.

With this, the family asked prayers from everyone for the speedy recovery of Jaworski.

They also thank everyone who sent their best wishes for their father’s 75th birthday last March 8, and for the respect they are earning for their requested privacy.

Jaworski used to be a professional basketball player and a head coach. Because of his outstanding skills in basketball, he was hailed as one of the PBA's 40 greatest players and PBA Hall of Fame in 2005. From 1998 to 2004, he entered politics and served as a senator.
