Topnotcher students from Pangasinan state university receive P100,000 each

Two students from Pangasinan State University are still in cloud nine after being a board topnotcher, but what made them even high of happiness is when they received a cash incentive worth P100,000 from their dearest alma mater.

The two students are Thomas Jefferson Fernando from PSU Asingan campus, and Jason Mejia from PSU Urdaneta City campus.

Thomas is the top 3 in the January 2022 Licensure Examination for Teachers with a rating of 92.22 percent.

Meanwhile, Jason landed 3rd on the list of topnotchers in the May 2022 Licensure Examination for Civil Engineers with a rating of 93.25 percent.

The excellent students thanked PSU for the cash incentive as it will be helpful not only for themselves but also for their family.

According to PSU president Dr. Dexter Buted, “Passing a board examination is a formidable feat and topping these licensure tests is an achievement extraordinaire.”

It has been a tradition for PSU to award their students who can be in the top 10 best scorers of any Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) examinations.

For them, it is their way of inspiring students to study hard and prepare passionately for their licensure examinations.
