Pinoy plumber in Japan receives recognition for saving a woman's life

An overseas Filipino worker in Japan was recognized by the Japanese local authorities after saving one of their residents who almost ended her own life.

According to the reports, Emil Reboja Vega, 32, saved a Japanese national who is attempting suicide on a bridge last April 24, 2022.

As narrated by Vega's wife, Jewel, his husband was on his way home when he saw a woman who was about to jump from a bridge.

Because of Vega's brave and heroic act, Asaka City Police Commissioner Chief Police Inspector Makoto Sato acknowledged and awarded him a certificate in a ceremony on May 16.

Vega is from Albuera, Leyte. He is working in Japan for 16 years as a plumber. He is also living there for quite a long time already with his family.
