Veteran columnist Lolit Solis took to Instagram on Sunday (May 15) to pen a piece of simple advice to people who disagree with the results of the recently concluded 2022 elections.
According to Solis, the issue of election should come to its end and that supporters of losing candidates should accept defeat with "dignity" instead of making alibis or reasons that would invalidate the results of the elections.
"Dapat siguro Salve matapos na iyan issue ng election. Tumahimik na lahat dahil tapos na, may nanalo na. Hindi mo puwede sabihin daya dahil malaki ang difference ng winner sa natalo," wrote Solis.
"Kainis na lagi na lang may alibi para sa loser, pag talo, talo. No amount of alibis can cover up your being a loser. Be a good loser, tanggapin mo with dignity na hindi ikaw ang napili," she added.
Solis emphasized that humility and wisdom are the ones that people should uphold these days, citing Sandro Marcos as the perfect example of these values.
"Ang ganda tignan ng ginawa ni Sandro Marcos na lumapit kay Rowena Guanzon para bumati, knowing kung paano nito tirahin ang ama na si Bongbong. Nagpakita ng wisdom at humility si Sandro Marcos, na sana gayahin ng iba. Hindi iyon defiant ka sa mga nagaganap sa paligid," Solis said.
The writer ended her message by encouraging everyone to move forward and look for a brighter tomorrow.
