This is how actor Luis Manzano calls the relationship of his dad Edu to the actress Cherry Pie Picache.
Luis is the son of Edu and former wife Vilma Santos.
Despite his mom and dad having an unsuccessful relationship, Luis is very happy and supportive to the love that Edu found on Cherry.
According to the actor, he found the rekindled love of the couple when someone told him that his dad was spotted in a restaurant dining with Cherry.
“I think it was from either my manager, Tita June [Rufino] or kaya I remember there was a restaurant and I know one of the servers.
“She sent me a picture na magkasama sila ni Tita Pie, my dad and Tita Pie. So, I sent my dad a message.
“It was pretty obvious naman na, why would they be together in that restaurant so sinabi ko, ‘Hey Dad, parang you seemed extra happy, a.' “Sabi niya ‘Yes, I am.'
“So siguro that was a pretty obvious answer naman you wouldn’t need to detail it to 8 paragraphs.
Luis said, if there is one thing that he learned from Edu and Cherry, that is love will always find a way; it "has a thing, has a knack for catching you by surprise.'
Edu, 66, has confirmed that he is dating Cherry, 51, since November 21. Before their confirmation, the two were spotted traveling together in New York.
