A mother has no choice but to give birth in a tent standing outside the Ospital ng Sampaloc after she was refused to be admitted by the two hospitals she went in due to fully occupied beds.
According to GMA News "24 Oras" on Tuesday (January 2), the husband said that his wife has been experiencing coughs and colds.
Later on, they found out that she is positive with COVID-19 after getting tested for the rapid antigen test. Because of this, the mother was not allowed to be admitted inside the hospital.
According to the admins of the hospital, they cannot allow the mother to be mixed with other patients since she is positive with the virus.
Marcelo also said that another reason why they cannot accommodate the mother is because they have 26 patients already who are positive with COVID-19; almost reaching their 33-bed capacity.
These past few days, the number of COVID-19 cases have fluctuated in Metro Manila. Some hospitals have actually stopped their operations after some of their staff have been infected with the virus.
