Frontline nurses, throw birthday surprise to COVID-19 critical patient

Netizens cannot help but to express their  gratefulness and appreciation to frontline nurses of Sta. Ana Hospital for exerting effort  to throw a birthday surprise for a COVID-19 critical patient.

In a photo circulating online, four nurses on their personal protective equipment are inside the Intensive Care Unit. Two of them are carrying a foil balloon for the birthday celebrant.

According to Che Larang who shared the story on Facebook, the nurses joyfully sang a happy birthday song to their patient in spite of them being severely exhausted.

"I saw some people complaining of having their birthdays again in a pandemic set up (no gatherings, no celebrations, no travels).

Just be thankful you are not celebrating your birthday like this," she captioned.

"Salute to these Nurses! In spite of being tired and in dreaded heat, willingly sings the happy birthday song for our covid critical patient.  'Nursing with a Heart' indeed," she added.

Even Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko" Domagoso expressed how proud he is with the heart warming  initiative of the nurses by sharing the FB post of Larang.
