Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz is surely now in cloudnine as she received and took a spin today of her brand-new Kia Stonic.
The car is a "gift of gratitude" for Diaz of the Ayala Foundation and Kia Motors Philippines for winning the country its first ever gold medal in the olympics.
"The golden girl gets her golden car!" wrote the Ayala Foundation, Inc. in their Facebook post on Friday (August 6).
Meanwhile, in a statement released by Kia Motor, Hidilyn said "Thank you sa pag-recognize sa pagka-panalo ko. Thank you so much na na-appreciate ninyo yung nagawa ko para sa bansa."
The Kia Stonic 2021 is a subcompact five-seater SUV with a price tag ranging from ₱735,000 to ₱925,000 in the Philippines.
Diaz is yet to reap more rewards and cash incentives worth millions of pesos because of her winning in the women's 55kg Weight Lifting competition in the said sports event.
