Senator Manny Pacquiao announced yesterday (July 6) that he will be giving away financial assistance to each family of the victims of the tragic C-130 plane crash in Patikul, Sulu.
According to the politician who is rumored to run for President in the next election, the family who lost their loved one in the deadly accident will receive P50,000 while those family of injured victims will get P20,000.
“Bilang tulong sa aking mga kapatid sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at mga sibilyang naging biktima ng C-130 crash sa Patikul, Sulu, magbibigay ako ng P50,000 sa bawat pamilya ng mga nasawi at P20,000 para sa mga sugatan,” the senator said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Kasama po ako ng sambayanan sa panalangin para ating mga bayaning nasawi at para sa agarang paggaling ng mga sugatan,” he added.
The ill-fated Philippine Air Force C-130 aircraft was supposed to go in Jolo, Sulu to dispatch 96 military personnel deployed to combat terrorism in Sulu. Unfortunately, the crash happened leaving at least 52 civilians dead while others were injured.
