A policeman is now receiving praises and salutations online after he granted a young girl's wish to hug her father who is currently detained.
The police officer who is behind the Facebook name Flavio Ang Panday, shared the story on his Facebook account last Saturday (July 3).
According to him, the child went to him and politely asked if she could hug her father and if he could free him already because she has been missing her father’s presence for so long now.
Flavio sadly explained the situation to the child but he agreed to let her hug her father. He even allowed the father to go out behind the bars for a while so he could hug his daughter firmly.
"Batang Chikiting: Sir mamang Pulis... Pwede kopo bang mayakap ang aking papa??? Mis na mis ko napo kasi siya pwede niyo ba siyang palayain na?????," Flavio wrote.
“Me: naku ading hindi kasi pwede eh, husgado kasi ang magpapasya pero sige halika para hindi namamagitan ang rehas sa pag yakap sa iyong papa buksan ko nalang saglit at yakapin mo siya para tugon sa iyong mumunting hiling,” he added as a response.
After the father and his daughter hugged each other, the child went home with his mom happily while the father expressed his gratitude to the police for helping him ease his sadness.
To end his post, the cop said that even though policemen are too brave and strict in implementing laws, they still have a heart for people and still know how to value the rights of each individual regardless if they are prisoners or not.
"Matapang naman talaga ang tagapag patupad ng batas ngunit may puso rin at May pakiramdam kami... Kahit anu pa ang nagawa ng taong lumabag sa batas sadya talagang may puso kami at sila na bilanggo ay may karapatan parin kahit bilango at tanging panginoon lang ang magpapasya balang araw pag dumating na ang takdang araw.”
