Comedian and famous impersonator Marvin Martinez, also known as Ate Shawee, has died at the young age of 45.
The saddening news was confirmed by his talent manager Freddie Bautista through his Facebook post on Monday (July 26).
"Isa na namang nakakalungkot na balita...Pumanaw ngayon ang # 1 Impersonator ni Mega Star Sharon Cuneta na si Marvin Martinez a.k.a. ATE SHAWEE," wrote Bautista.
The well-known Sharon Cuneta’s impersonator passed away because of liver cirrhosis.
Just this Saturday (July 24), he was rushed to Chinese General Hospital in Manila due to his worsening condition.
According to Rafaela de Jesus, niece of the comedian, in an interview with PEP.ph, Ate Shawee can no longer speak and recognize people before he dies.
Based on the recent photos of him, he can no longer be known as the impersonator of the Megastar because of the massive weight loss he had.
Ate Shawee’s bereaved family are now in need of financial help to pay his remaining medical bill amounting to P60,000. Extra fund is also needed for wake and burial of the comedian.
