Her skin may have turned wrinkled and saggy but the beauty of veteran actress Gloria Romero never fades away no matter how old she becomes making her undoubtedly one of the most stunning faces in the Philippine entertainment industry.
Romero, 87, is an award-winning actress known for her sensational and iconic roles during her early years. Her first TV appearance was in the film "Ang Bahay sa Lumang Gulod" of Eduardo de Castro in the year 1949.
Apart from being a beauty, Romero's showbiz career became successful because of her exceptional acting skills which made her received a total of 200 films and TV shows at the of 59.
She has also been awarded a lot of awards such as the prestigious FAMAS Best Actress award in 2001 for her role in "Tanging Yaman," FAMAS Best Supporting Actress for her "Nagbabahagng Luha" in 1989 and "Dalagang Ilocana” in 1955.
Romero is also the first ever awardee of the lifetime achievement award in Movie and Television Review and Classification Board or MTRCB.
Although the actress has aged a lot, she still receives roles from various programs. As a matter of fact, she is now well-known as "Lola Goreng" for GMA's TV show "Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko."
She may have turned grey but her career remains colorful and her beauty continues to be glowing and vibrant hence there is no doubt why her supporters and even ordinary viewers see her as the most beautiful “lola” today.
