A garbage collector from Pangasinan is now earning praises from the public after returning a huge amount of money that he saw while doing his work.
According to Reny Corpuz of Barangay Macalong, Urdaneta City, he spotted the money worth P191,000 while collecting garbage.
"'Yung basura sa ibabaw ng truck, Ma'am, nakita ko may P500 na nakalabas kaunti. doon ako kasi sa taas ng truck, Ma'am. Ako 'yung nagtatapon ng galing sa drum," narrated Corpuz in an interview with GMA News.
At first, he was shocked to know how big the amount of money is but he did not hesitate to return it back to its real owner.
In spite of his status in life, Corpuz said that he has no intention of keeping the money which he did not work hard for. Hence, he decided to return the exact amount of money that he found to the owner.
Because of his honesty Corpuz is not only making his family proud but also his employers that is why he was promoted in his work as a reward. From being a contractual worker, he is now a casual employee which everyone would ask for.
