A frustrated customer turned to her social media account on Tuesday (June 1) to share her horrible experience with one of the most famous and biggest local fast food chains in the country.
According to Alique Perez, she ordered fried chicken for her son in Jollibee BGC branch via an online food delivery service.
The food was delivered appropriately with proper packaging but as she was attempting to slice the chicken she was surprised to discover that what she was trying to feed her child was a fried towel.
"Just something that frustrated me this late. We had Jollibee delivered via grab. Ordered chicken for my son, while I was trying to get him a bite, I found it super hard to even slice. Tried opening it up with my hands and to my surprise a deep fried towel," wrote Perez.
"This is really disturbing... How the hell do you get the towel in the batter and even fry it!?!? Yung totoo?," she added.
Perez is also worried that the towel may have contaminated the batter and oil where many other chickens were soaked and cooked.
Many netizens also wonder how a towel was mistaken to be a chicken by the Jollibee staff while some think that the fried towel was purposely done because it really looks like a real fried chicken.
As of the moment, Perez's Facebook post has garnered more than 63,000 reactions, 1,300 comments, and 61,000 shares.
