Pinoy couple in Canada wins two lottery in less than a year

A Filipino Canadian couple is indeed full of luck after winning more than $1 million in total from two major lotteries in Canada in less than a year.

According to the report of Tricity News, the lucky couple, Liezl Panganiban and Edgar Ebreo, first  won $500,000 (more than 24 million in peso) on an Extra Lotto 6/49 draw back on Sept. 26, 2020.

Seven months later, the couple hit another $675,000 or P32 million after buying a Set for Life scratch-it ticket at a 7-Eleven on Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam.

“When I saw the three cash symbols, I couldn't believe it, so I showed Edgar," said Panganiban in a written statement.

“I started dancing,” Ebreo said, expressing his joyfulness.

According to the couple, the money that they have won will be used for paying off their mortgage.

They are also set to travel in Hawaii which is their daughter's favorite place once the travel restrictions are lifted.
