Mother who celebrated daughter's birthday on the sidewalk goes viral

Many netizens were touched by a mother who was seen granting her daughter's wish to have a celebration on her 7th birthday.

In the photos that trended online, the daughter was seen wearing a unicorn dress and a headband. There was also a cardboard sign posted on the closed establishment with a handwritten text that read, “Happy 7th Birthday Janella,” with nearly deflated balloons next to it. 

According to Kim Raytos, a Facebook user who shared the story online, she was in a taxi when a little girl wearing a colorful dress in front of San Ildefonso Church in Makati City captured her attention. 

"Napansin ko to kanina habang nakasakay ako sa taxi galing makati akala ko kung ano ang cute kasi ng bata na naka unicorn na dress," wrote Raytos

The mother, Mary Ann Cesista, said it is her daughter's long-time wish to have a party on her  birthday.

Since their home is too small for a celebration, she just decided to throw the party on the sidewalk where they usually stay.

Cesista  tried her best to save a portion of the ayuda or cash assistance that she received and even borrowed some money in order to buy some food and decorations for her daughter’s birthday.

"Gusto ko sana kahit simple maranasan naman ng anak ko makapag-birthday party," shared Cesista in her interview with GMA News.

Because many netizens have been captivated with their heartfelt story, many gave salutations to the mother while others sent some help including gifts, cakes, spaghetti, and many more.

Truly, a mother’s love is immeasurable. She will definitely do whatever it takes just to provide and grant her child’s wish even if  it is just in a simple way.
