Farmer's son gets offer, scholarship from 4 prestigious universities abroad

A student from Mindanao is now earning praises from the public after receiving college admission offers from four prestigious universities abroad.

The student, Nathan Wayne Ariston, is the first graduate of Philippine Science High School-Central Mindanao Campus.

He has been granted a full scholarship in the prestigious Yale University, an Ivy League school in the United States, where he was planning to major in physics.

Ariston, who is a son of a farmer and an elementary school teacher, also got accepted in Georgia Institute of Technology (USA),  University of California - Irvine (USA),  and Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).

Aside from him, two more students from Pisay were given not lower than two admission offers and scholarships from other schools abroad.

Many netizens are proud and happy for the opportunity that the Filipino students have gained but others are worried that they may not come back to the Philippines to help their own country.
