A delivery rider is now earning praises online for braving the flood in Hagonoy, Bulacan just to do his job which is to deliver orders to customers.
The rider was known after sharing his story on Facebook under the Facebook name "Void Skept."
According to him, he was not supposed to continue in delivering the order of one of the customers but he was motivated to do so because of an old lady who still opted to sell goods in spite of the flood.
“Dadaing sana ko na mahirap magdeliver nang palakad kasi baha. Nang makita ko si Nanay, lumusong na ko kaagad, nahiya ako bigla sa sarili ko. Siya nga eh kaya niya ako pa kaya. Saludo sa iyo, Nanay,” said Void.
Because of this, many netizens expressed their respect to the rider while others showed their concern.
“Salute! Hahahha ganyan din pakiramdam ko noong nariyan ako sa area na iyan. Bahain talaga ang Hagonoy saka bandang Calumpit area pero sanay na kasi mga tao riyan,” one of the netizens said.
“Kaya mo iyan brod, kaya lang ingat lang din kasi may mga sakit na nakukuha sa baha gaya ng leptospirosis. Ingat-ingat lang din, delikado rin ‘yun,” wrote another Fb commenter.
