Pinay caregiver severely injured after saving 2 babies from accident

A Filipina caregiver from Toronto, Canada is now admitted in a hospital due to severe injuries after saving two babies in her care from an accident last February 24.

According to reports, an SUV suddenly went out-of-control while the caregiver Jillian Mendoza was passing by at St. Clair Avenue together with the two young children.

As a response, Mendoza quickly pushed the stroller of the two babies away from the direction of the uncontrolled SUV while she was left pinned under it.

Because Mendoza took all the impact from the vehicle, she had to undergo  three surgeries for her multiple bone fractures and head injury. According to reports, there  are more surgeries that should be conducted to enable her to fully recover.

Mendoza is a single mother and dedicated to helping his family back in the Philippines. She is currently in the process of obtaining her permanent residence in Canada.

To help her with her hospitalization, GoFundMe already initiated a fundraising project which has now raised more than $148,000.
