Liza Soberano questions PH government support for poor amid COVID-19 surge

Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is once again trending online after she bravely  asked the government where is their help to poor Filipinos amid the worsening COVID-19 pandemic.

In her tweet on Monday (March 22), Soberano shared her sympathy to all the people who cannot afford to go out and work and to everyone who are left with the choice of dying due to COVID-19 or hunger.

In the latter part, she asked "genuinely" if the Philippines is really poor for not providing for its poor people during this time of crisis.

Soberano also said in another tweet that America is now approaching their 3rd stimulus or attempt to stabilize their economy, pointing out that they even have free COVID-19 testing and vaccination. With this, she cannot help but to question the government where their help is for the poor.

She added that it is easy to stay at home only if everyone has something to eat on the table and some money to pay their bills.

Soberano, is one of the most in-demand actresses in the country nowadays. She is always being witnessed voicing out various issues for women’s and children’s rights, the shutdown of ABS-CBN, and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic through her social media account.

As of this writing, the Philippines already has more than 672,000 COVID-19 cases with greater than 578,000 recoveries, and 12,927 deaths.

  1. If it weren't for my small SS pension, my wife, my son, and mother-in-law would already have died. The gov. put my wife and lola out of business shortly after I came here so I've become the only source of income.
