'Tawag ng Tanghalan' contestant thanks Vice Ganda for sending his kids to school

A tearful moment dominated the stage after a father who joined "Tawag ng Tanghalan" in “It's Showtime” personally thanked the host and comedian Vice Ganda for sponsoring his kids' education.

According to Herbie Pultam of Antipolo City, aside from winning in the competition, he joined the segment so that he can personally express his gratitude to Vice Ganda for giving his three children the opportunity to continue their study.

It was in 2017 when Pultam and Vice Ganda met in the ABS-CBN program, “I Can See Your Voice.”

During that time, Pultam shared how difficult it is to send his three children, who are all academic achievers, in school as a book factory worker. With that, Vice Ganda was touched and inspired so he promised to support the education of his kids.

Right now, all the kids of Pultam are still studying because of Vice Ganda's scholarship program. The eldest is already in 3rd year college, the other one is in 1st year college while the youngest is in grade 7.

Vice Ganda said he does not know his scholarship grantees. He opted not to meet them because he does not want to be attached to them.
