Israel, in need of Filipino caregivers


Aspiring overseas Filipino workers (OFW) can now apply in Israel to work as a caregiver, according to the Philippine embassy in Tel-Aviv, Wednesday (February 3, 2020).


Israel is now looking for 500 Filipino caregivers to work in their country under the Bilateral Labor Agreement signed between the Israeli and Philippine government in 2018.



Interested applicants must be at least 23 years old, must have a diploma from a four-year nursing or physical therapy course in college or at least  a certificate  from Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) proving that they are eligible to work abroad.



They must also have gone through a minimum of 760 hours of relevant training, and passed the examination to be qualified.



Accepted applicants will be sent to Israel and assigned to assist with personal care of persons with disabilities, including the elderly.



The embassy said, applicants must have to register first via the online services portal of the Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration. The deadline for submission, on the other hand, is set on February 15, 2021 for POEA main office and February 12 for the satellite offices.
