19-year-old man fakes own kidnapping to avoid work

A 19-year-old man in Arizona, USA, was arrested by the police after faking his kidnapping just because he did not want to go to work.

According to KNXV-TV, Brandon Soules was first seen helpless in Coolidge on February 10 by a passerby who reported to the police.

When police arrived, Soules told them that he was kidnapped by two masked men after 7 in the morning allegedly because of the huge amount of money his father hid in the desert.

However, after the police did their thorough investigation, no enough evidence can prove the kidnapping of Soules.

On February 17, when Soules was interrogated and showed all the information gathered by the police he finally admitted that he just made up the story and pretended that he was kidnapped so that he will have the excuse not to go to work.

He made the scene by stuffing a bandanna in his mouth and tying his own hands with his belt. He then laid on the ground on the side of the road, pretended to be helpless and waited for someone to notice him.

According to the police, Souls do not have to worry anymore about going to work because the tire factory in Coolidge where he usually works has already fired him.

Souls was arrested and was charged with reporting false information to the police.
