To be a dairy farmer is one of the most difficult and exhausting jobs one can have but it is also one of the most worthy tasks that one can enjoy for the overseas Filipino worker in New Zealand.
According to Pinay worker Jennifer Abobo, he went to New Zealand in 2015 and she got lucky because she has a very kind employer.
Since then, she started working as a dairy farmer whose responsibility includes herding cows, harvesting milk, and ensuring that all the animals are in good health.
Abobo said, being a dairy farmer is very tiring but the amount of earnings that you can get from it is truly rewarding.
"Itong klase ng trabaho na ito laborious po siya. Sobrang nakakapagod pero at the end of the day ang ganda pa rin ng sahod."
"Fulfilling din siya. Kapag baguhan ka dito sa New Sealand nasa 800 to 1000 euro yung sahod mo monthly. Although mahal yung expenses, yung cost of living pero malaki pa rin naman yung natitira."
Apart from being able to spend money for herself, Abobo is also able to support her family in the Philippines because of her job.
