An old farmer returned a huge amount of money in Sitio Calamuhoy, Barangay Kapatagan, Digos City, Davao del Sur on Monday morning (December 6, 2021).
According to the report of ABS-CBN News, Rosito Laranjo, 62, found a bag with P36, 649 inside.
The honest farmer immediately brought the bag to the office of the police in Barangay Kapatagan so it could be returned to its owner.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Henry Abarcar, duty tourist police of Digos City police, said after he shared the honesty of Lolo Rosito, many netizens expressed their salutation and also sent some help to him and his family.
"Buti pa ang mahirap hindi natukso na kuhanin ang pera na di kanya samantalang ang mayayaman na at mga pulitiko nilalamangan pa ang mga tao," said one FB user.
“Salamat Tatay at hindi mo binulsa ang pera, ang dami pong humahanga sayo sana po maantig ang puso ng mga Pilipino at gawin kayong ihimplo para maghari ang kabutihan sa Pilipinas. Let's pray for a better Philippines piliin ang tama at huwag ang magnanakaw,” echoed another netizen.
