According to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Police Brigadier General Matthew Bacay in his interview with DZBB Super Radyo, the actor's SUV hit the said police car around 9 pm but did not even bother to stop.
“Last night at about 9 pm, may dumaan na sasakyan, unfortunately tinamaan ang sasakyan ng mga pulis natin at hindi tumigil ang sasakyan...,” said Bacay.
“Hinabol ng mga pulis natin hanggang sa nakarating sa area ng Pasig sa may Shaw and when confronted, nakita na ang driver ng sasakyan ay ang aktor na si Jake Cuenca,” he added.
Because of the incident, the police will be filing a complaint of reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property against Jake.
Cuenca was permitted to leave the police station to undergo a medical checkup.
The authorities did not capture anything illegal to Cuenca and inside his vehicle. His SUV is also now in the custody of the police.
