Pinoy isaw vendor in New York, earns P800,000 in a month

A Filipino from Woodside, Queens, in New York City in America is now making a huge amount of money because of his own street-food business which is very Pinoy.

Robin John Calalo or commonly known as "Boy Isaw" is selling a variety of Filipino street foods in New York.

He started with a capital of $50 or P2,500 and now Calalo is earning P200,000 every week which is obviously equivalent to P800,000 every month.

Everything started when Calalo craved Filipino street foods in 2019. That was when he decided to go to the market to buy some ingredients.

“So, nag-decide akong mamalengke. May dala akong $50... So, nag-try akong magluto. Dinamihan ko na tapos binenta ko," shared Calalo in his interview with GMA News.

His first customers were his friends and family until his business became known not only to Filipinos but even to Americans.

Some of the products of Calalo are the famous Pinoy street foods like adidas or grilled chicken feet, betamax or pork's blood shaped into cubes, isaw or chicken intestine, and hotdog.

Each stick of his products cost $3.50. He also sells ready-to-grill street food products on sticks so that his customers would have a grilling experience too.
