Security guard who hostage in Greenhills mall gets 6 years of imprisonment

 


A former security guard was sentenced to served up to six years in prison for one of the charges filed against him after he hostaged more than 50 people at Greenhills Shopping Center in San Juan last 2020.


According to the report of Philippine Star. court record shows that Alchie Paray entered into a plea bargain agreement for a lesser offense of altering the composition of an explosive which equates to a six months to six years penalty in prison.


Aside from this, Paray, who is jailed at San Juan City Jail, is still facing trials at the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 264 for serious illegal detention, illegal possession of fiream and ammunition and frustrated murder.


There are already witnesses in the trial to stand for the serious illegal detention charge and for other offenses.


It was in March 2, 20202 when Paray put 55 people in hostage in Greenhills out of allegatios of corruption and labor anomalies in the operation of the shopping center.
