Pedicab driver offers free face masks, face shield, alcohol to passengers

Many netizens are now praising a pedicab driver from San Mateo, Rizal for giving  free face masks, face shields and alcohol  to his passengers to help them protect from COVID-19 as they go to work.

According to Camille Vicente, a passenger who shared the good deed of the driver, she happened to ride in the pedicab of Tatay Rogelio Cañares, 56-year-old and experienced his caring initiative.

Inside the pedicab, Camille noted a compartment filled with boxes of face shield and a box of facemasks. There is even a note that says: “Mahal kong pasaheros. Face mask. Alcohol.”

Tatay Rogelio started his simple initiative when a previous passenger of him forgot to bring a face shield and wanted to go home to get one.

Tatay Rogelio is able to buy the free supplies by saving a little portion of his earnings from driving a pedicab.

Netizens are now proud and inspired by him because in spite of the fact that he is not earning too much, he still thought of helping others.

Kudos to you tay. Salute!" said one netizen.
