The families of people who tested positive for COVID-19 in Gapan, Nueva Ecija would not have to worry for their daily living as the local government unit headed by Mayor Emerson "Emeng" Pascual is distributing some cash assistance and goods directly on their respective homes.
In some photos shared by Pascual on his Facebook Page on Thursday (April 1), it can be seen that there were frontliners delivering food and cash assistance to the families of people in Gapan who contracted the virus.
Each family is given cash in an envelope, one sack of rice and a box of groceries which contains goods like fresh fruits, milk and other beverages, canned goods, bread, cup noodles,and face shields.
"Kahit mahal na araw walang pahinga ang ating mga frontliners mahatiran lang ng ayuda ang mga tao sa Gapan. Aalagaan at tutulungan natin ang mga nangangailangan lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya," wrote Pascual in his post.
Meanwhile, all COVID-19 positives are being brought in hotels for self quarantine. All are provided with free food and other personal necessities.
Last March 22, Pascual also trended online after a resident in Gapan shared that the official donated some of his salary to give 50 kilos of rice, eggs, and live chickens per household.
