Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto expressed his gratitude to actress Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis for donating P1 million without any fanfare and media.
According to Sotto, Locsin and Curtis gathered the donation from the Shop and Share fundraising driver that they organized.
The two actresses just left the check to the office of Sotto to support the vaccination program of Pasig City.
With this, Sotto commended Locsin and Curtis for not bringing any fanfare or media coverage when they donated.
"Shoutout at ang aking pasasalamat sa Shop and Share. Nag-donate po sila ng isang milyong piso para sa ating vaccination program," Sotto said on hs Facebook Live on Monday (April 12).
"Ito, walang fanfare, walang media. Ni hindi nga kami nagkita...Iniwan lang nila yung tseke. Pinaresibuhan na lang natin. So, thank you," he added.
The P1 million amount received by the Pasig City local government unit will be added on their vaccination fund. The city already ordered 400,000 doses from AstraZeneca but they are yet to arrive.
