Innocent young man shatters his dream to go abroad cause of 'Tanim bala'
On March 24, 2025, a kind and innocent young man, set off on what was supposed to be a life-changing journey from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Manila, Philippines.
He held in his heart the hope of traveling abroad to support his mother after the tragic loss of his father to illness a few years ago. This venture represented a new beginning, a chance to uplift his family during a time of profound sadness.
However, his dreams were shattered when he became a victim of the notorious Tanim Bala trick. Instead of boarding his flight with excitement, he was wrongfully accused of carrying a bullet in his luggage—a cruel act perpetrated by ruthless individuals exploiting a broken system.
This was his first trip abroad, filled with hope and aspirations, but those dreams were extinguished in an instant. The emotional scars he now carries are a stark reminder of the dangers that innocent travelers face in our country.
young man experience is not just an isolated incident; it reflects a larger issue of corruption and abuse that affects countless lives.

NBI arrests 'vlogger' for spreading fake news against Marcos statement
According to a report by John Consulta on Friday, the NBI said the altered post was shared on Facebook.
“Onti-onti na kami, kumukuha kami. Nakikipag cooperate sa amin ang Facebook, nakikipag cooperate ang TikTok, ito na po. Kaya warning sa kanila: hindi namin sila tatantanan,” said NBI chief Jaime Santiago.
The vlogger admitted to earning money from spreading fake news.
"Yes, but it’s just a small amount." she responded when asked by Santiago.
She also tearfully pleaded for Marcos’ forgiveness.
Santiago called on the public to verify information on social media and cautioned that disseminating false information is a criminal act.
"Some people think this is just for fun—it’s not. There are legal consequences. Once charged, they regret it, just like her. Now she’s crying, saying she won’t do it again." he said.
He emphasized the importance of responsible online behavior: “Think before you click! This is no joke"
The suspect faces charges under Article 152 of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. If convicted, she could face six months to six years in prison and a fine of up to P200,000.

Bam Aquino Advocates for Increased Scholarship Funding and Job Security
Former Senator Bam Aquino has called for the expansion of the Free College Education Law to benefit more students, ensuring sufficient subsidies for school-related expenses and guaranteeing employment opportunities for Filipinos.
During a visit to student leaders at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) in Cagayan de Oro, Aquino—who is aiming for a Senate return in the 2025 elections—emphasized the need to align education with employment.
"In some countries, the Department of Education and the Department of Employment function as a single entity because the education system should naturally lead to suitable job opportunities," he explained.
Aquino stressed the importance of integrating schools, businesses, and the labor market to secure job offers for students even before they graduate. He also called for greater flexibility within the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) framework to allow schools to adapt their policies in response to industry demands.
As one of the principal authors of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, passed in 2017, Aquino positions himself as a champion for the people. His campaign focuses on addressing inflation, enhancing education, exposing cartels to reduce prices, increasing funding for teaching quality and technology in schools, and strengthening infrastructure development.
